So You're Going Off-Campus

On or off campus, your conduct is guided by the Fundamental Standard and the Honor Code.  All Stanford policies including the Stanford Residential Agreement, the Policy on Alcohol and Controlled Substances, Policy on Smoke Free Environment, and the Noise Policy remain in effect.  Students are also expected to adhere to the laws of the area in which they are based and the practices of the institution in which they are housed.  Students violating any of these may face expulsion from the program, loss of university privileges, and/or prosecution by the local authorities.  Students who violate local laws should not expect help from the faculty instructor or Stanford University.  Students who violate these guidelines while in an off-campus Sophomore College seminar risk not only their own participation in the program and Stanford privileges, but also future Sophomore College courses in that location.

While charges for housing and food will be covered for you, you are responsible for the condition of the room or residence assigned to you.  You will be responsible for all damage, loss, and/or charges to the room or other parts of the local facilities.  Any damages will be charged to your University bill.
