Departmental Research Programs
Undergraduate Research in Stanford Departments, Programs and Research Centers
Many Stanford departments and programs sponsor an undergraduate research program that provides financial support for students to work with Stanford professors on faculty-designed research projects.
These departments and programs support research during the regular academic year, but most programs take place over the ten-week summer session. Many students participating in these summer programs choose to live in the Summer Research College (SRC) residence.
To participate in a Summer program (with or without SRC), you should plan to apply during Winter quarter.
For any Departmental Program, you must apply directly to departments and programs, not through UAR. For program deadlines and specifics, you should follow the links below or contact the department or program directly.
